2K Games has welcomed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to oversee the development team at 31st Union, which is currently crafting the upcoming third-person action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Leadership Change Follows Mixed Reception
The new appointee steps into the leadership position at 31st Union following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' lackluster initial reveal last fall.
Recently, the company's top executive David Ismailer updated staff about this strategic move through an official communication, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had revealed the requirement for a distinct direction.
The president noted that the developers is now reimagining Project Ethos with a refreshed approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
A Pattern of Strategic Recruitment
The news echoes a comparable move taken by 2K Games in August, when they hired an industry veteran from Blizzard to work on the BioShock development group.
